The foundation provided by the first few chapters on algorithms was practiced throughout the course. Practically all the students have a very good understanding of arrays and classes, which is usually their downfall. The approach of going from a one-dimensional array to parallel arrays, and then to two-dimensional was perfect." We have been considering the possibility of adding an Introductory to Programming course without using the major aspects of the various languages. This would be an ideal textbook for this type of course.
