Inhaltsangabe
Like many industries, organisations and social movements, the animal rights and vegan communities have been rocked by revelations of sexual and professional misconduct in the wake of the #metoo scandals. In THE VEGAN MATRIX, vegan psychologist and relationship coach, Dr. Melanie Joy examines the structural and gender imbalances and barriers within both communities that hold back and, even squander, the many talented and skilled individuals who want to contribute to a world with less suffering and more justice. Dr Joy examines the many privileges that must be acknowledged and addressed and calls for more inclusivity and diversity within organisations and the communities as a whole. Written by a passionately committed animal activist and vegan, THE VEGAN MATRIX is a long overdue call for genuine accountability within these movements if the issues that matter to vegans and animal rights activists are to reach a broader audience.
