Despite the growing effort to detect giftedness in schools, among the general population there is still much work to be done. Most gifted adults don’t even know they’re gifted.
Many of them face misunderstanding, rejection, abuse and mistreatment in their environment for being different. Their lives are often marked by social isolation and difficulty fitting in and fully developing in a world that doesn’t understand them.
In this book I recount my life experience as a gifted person, having been unaware of the fact for decades, as well as the difficulties I had to overcome. Discovering that I’m gifted has produced a catharsis that is profoundly transforming my life.
I hope that my story will help you to better understand this intense and complex way of thinking, perceiving and feeling the world, whether you suspect that you, or someone close to you, may be gifted or whether you simply want to know more about this divergent and unconventional mode of operation.
Everyone has their own story. This is mine.
