This primer on international criminal law from Podgor and Clark is divided into four parts covering principles, common applications, procedure, and prosecution. Under principles, a general review of scope and terminology and a chapter addressing jurisdiction are included. Applications include business crimes, export controls, computer crimes, narcotics and money laundering, piracy and terrorism, and transnational organized crime. The procedural section discusses applicability of the US Constitution dependent on citizenship and location, immunities, obtaining evidence from abroad, extradition with a focus on the US, and prisoner transfers. Finally, prosecution is addressed by first defining international crime, then specifically discussing human rights in criminal proceedings, tribunals, and the Rome Statute.
