Uncle Rocky, Fireman #7 – "Safe at Home!"
Uncle Rocky stops by his sister's house for supper and the food is as good as always. But around the table, the conversation turns to something just as important as a home cooked meal. Between bites, Uncle Rocky shares practical fire safety tips that every family needs to know. A fun and delicious evening that just might save a life!
Uncle Rocky, Fireman is a children's picture book series perfect for kids ages 4–8. Warm, funny, and full of heart, each story follows Uncle Rocky and his nephews Ben and Luke as they fight fires, rescue people, and serve their neighbors. Every book ends with the beloved catchphrase: "Glad to do it!"
Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: James Burd Brewster was born a twin, raised in Albany, NY, sailed on Lake Champlain, joined the US Coast Guard, became a devout Christian, navigated a Polar Icebreaker, and married Katie Spivey from Wilmington, NC. Together they raised and homeschooled four boys and a girl. The seeds of Jim's writing career were planted when he told the Uncle Rocky, Fireman stories to Ben and Luke, their oldest two boys. His interest in publishing these stories led to a creative writing class, the publication of his first story, The Start, and eventually the publication of the Uncle Rocky, Fireman series. Jim is also a musician, actor, and playwright and he and Katie live in Pomfret, MD near Washington, DC. Reach him through: www.gladtodoit.net
