Inhaltsangabe: This is the Third Edition of the Twisted Badge, which was first released in 1989. This edition provides an inside look at politics in law enforcement. The previous editions (ISBN 0-924309-00-8) were written by George Wright as told to Mike Madigan, but this edition, by prior agreement was written by Mike Madigan.
This edition present cases, including two homicides involving police officers which were never filed, and asks the reader to judge whether justice was served. Each chapter includes interviews with those involved in the case, supporting documentation and sworn testimony.
Much of the information contained in this edition was received from sworn police officers, judges and public officials who are tired of business as usual. These stories are often overlooked by print and electronic media because they involve law enforcement and/or large advertisers.
The Twisted Badge is dedicated to those criminal justice professionals who bring honor to the badge. The message of this book is - "The badge is not for twisting."
Über den Autor: Mike Madigan is a licensed private investigator and freelance journalist based in Southern California. He has written all three editions of The Twisted Badge, two screenplays, one of which has been optioned, and one television script which was considered for use on "LA Law" but not purchased.
Mike Madigan began his investigative career when as a college student he was stranded in Prague, Czechoslovakia during the 1968 Russian invasion. He lived in Casablanca, Morocco until 1975 and returned to Europe in 1976 at the invitation of the US Department of Defense to report on Autumn Forge, a NATO military exercise in West Germany.
Mr. Madigan has been involved in more than 10,000 cases ranging from white collar crime to rape and murder. He is the founding President of Litigation Archives, Inc. which specializes in the preparation and referral of fraud cases for criminal prosecution.
