Out of the ashes of the devastating New York City Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire of 1911, a forbidden romance blooms...

Three girls who live in the same tenement building and work at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory are working that fateful day of the fire on March twenty-fifth. Benjamina survives the tragic fire that takes the lives of her younger sister, Rebekah, and her best friend, Julia. She is plagued by survivor's guilt but finds solace in the one person who truly understands her grief, Julia's fiancé, Angelo. Their friendship grows into a love they no longer can deny. Their love violates religious and cultural mores. She is the daughter of Jewish immigrants from Poland and he is the son of Catholic immigrants from Sicily. Will their families ever accept their relationship? But true love knows no boundaries. They find their promised land in Rochester, New York.

A celebration of both Jewish and Italian cultures, richly steeped in the history of the period, TRIANGLES is a gorgeous story that unfolds with the sweeping scope of and epic film and resonates long after you've put the book down.
