Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: JACK CASEY studied literature at Yale University and University of Edinburgh. He serves as Parliamentarian of the New York State Senate and maintains a law office in Troy.Mr. Casey's grandfather emigrated to Troy about 1874, grew up in the Hillside orphanage and worked in the steel mills, the Watervliet Arsenal and Gurley's machine shop. Mr. Casey's father served as Rensselaer County district attorney and county judge, and as a justice of the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division.Mr. Casey presently lives in Averill Park, NY. His daughter Molly majors in political science at New York University, and his son John studies literature, music and the classics at McGill University, Montreal.Jack Casey's other works about upstate New York include LILY OF THE MOHAWKS (Bantam, 1984) and A LAND BEYOND THE RIVER (Diamond Rock, 2005).
