Zentangle (R) is a relaxing and rewarding process that allows people of all ages to create artistic designs with repetitive patterns called tangles. Enjoy the experience that tangling brings!

Drawing simple tangles can be done anywhere and no special artistic talent is needed. Anyone who can hold a pen can create tangles! Zentangle (R) was created by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas as a way for anyone to relax and create beautiful art. Drawing tangle patterns is designed to reduce stress, improve focus, get in touch with life, solve problems, turn mistakes into positives, be innovative, and become more creative.

This book was inspired by the techniques and patterns of Zentangle (R), and by author Marie Browning's desire to play with color. More than simply coloring regions of a tangle design, Time to Tangle with Colors offers lessons which enable even the novice artist to use a brush pen to color 48 delightful tangles. Create borders, animals, plants, flowers, hearts, and anything else you can imagine for decorating journals, notebooks, scrapbooks, greeting cards, bookmarks, crafts, and more.

Inside this information-packed 48-page booklet, Marie Browning pushes the envelope of Zentangle (R) into the living dimension of color. Using easy to follow steps, Marie illustrates over 40 new tangles, encouraging you to add vibrant color to your tangles.

Marie also offers a crash course in color theory, color scheme suggestions, how to make interesting backgrounds, and explores her own favorite art materials, from the permanent Sakura (R) Pigma (TM) Micron 01 black pigment ink pen, a rainbow selection of Tombow Dual Brush Markers, and Sakura (R) Stardust Gelly Roll pens to Glimmer Mist sprays, stencils, stamps, colored pencils, and more.

Learn new tangling techniques and start adding touches of color to your Zentangle-inspired art, with Time to Tangle with Colors!
