Über diesen Titel

In a world where rainbow birds have peckerty beaks and even the warthogs are beautiful, the peace is one day shattered when a mouse hears the deafening thud of a monster. He tries to enlist the support of all the animals but fails. Who will be brave enough to drive it away?

From the Publisher:

THUD! THUD! THUD! It must be big! The ground is shaking... It must be huge! The earth is quaking...Who will be brave enough to chase it away? Basil the Bushbaby, Spike the Porcupine, Humphrey the Crocodile, and all the other animals in the jungle are in a tizzy about the mysterious creature they call the Ugly Beast. But when they finally meet up with the creature, they discover that it’s nice, polite, and very unbeastlike—in fact, it’s somebody’s mother! Packed with bold illustrations that fill each spread with color, Thud! will have children glued to the page—all the way through to the heartwarming conclusion.

We have been selling academic and scholarly books in Cambridge since 1996. Today we occupy an old warehouse on Coldhams Road, adjacent to the railway tracks leading to Ely, not too far from the airport. The site is called Restwell House. We are an internet bookshop, but visitors are very welcome. Some drop off a few boxes of unwanted books, some pick up a book to save on the postage, some just drop by to get to know us, or want to take advantage of the many bargains on our wooden shelves bookshop, which is distinct from the internet stock offered on the web. Our mission has always been to find new homes for the books we are looking after. If we cannot sell them online, we offer them at very low prices to our visitors. We try to give you a serious and dedicated service which is focussed on the individuality of each single book: its condition, its origin, sometimes even its smell. You come to us for real books, not just instances of ISBNs.
