Textbook of Glaucoma

The "Textbook of Glaucoma" is now in its third edition and has been updated to take account of developments in the field. A new section of colour illustrations has been added, and the bibliography updates the literature with more than 1000 new journal article references. Expanded coverage is now given in the chapters covering subjects such as the optic nerve head with the mechanism of glaucomatous optic atrophy and clinical regognition of disc and nerve fibre layer change, including computerized image analysis; visual fields with automated perimetry; and laser and incision surgery. The expanding role of laser surgery in treating glaucoma is covered, combining various laser and incisional techniques under common chapter titles. Detailed descriptions of laser trabeculoplasty, trabeculectomy, laser iridotomy, cyclodestructive procedures and many other laser and incisional operations are given.
