Hot on the paws of his successful Scotch & Toilet Water?, beloved New Yorker magazine cartoonist Leo Cullum returns with a whole menagerie of creatures faced with surprisingly human problems, or offering sage tidbits of advice from which even humans can benefit. Tequila Mockingbird brings us a passel of dogs and cats, chickens and ducks, assorted fowl and fish, as well as cows, monkeys, snakes and creatures in 125 hilarious cartoons that will show just how highly evolved our friends in the animal kingdom have become. Even members of the human species will relate to these beasts - from the penguin wondering if his breath smells fishy, to the buffalo complaining about his roaming charges, to the lion with a thorn in his paw whose medical plan, unfortunately, doesn't cover thorn-related injuries.

Leo Cullum, a recently retired commercial airline pilot, has published 500 cartoons in The New Yorker since his first work appeared there in 1977. His cartoons also appear regularly in Barron's and the Harvard Business Review. His work is included in numerous anthologies, and it has been exhibited at the Brooklyn Museum of Art. He lives in Malibu, California.
