Team dysfunction isn’t just a leadership problem—it’s a teammate problem, and often your team's biggest problem.

That’s what makes You Are the Team different. Yes, leaders play a critical role in moving teamwork toward dreamwork; however, it always begins with the me-work—the personal responsibility, mindset, and daily habits each teammate brings to the table. That's what strengthens team culture and helps build great teams.

You Are the Team is not just a book for leaders—it’s a full team building experience, ideal for:

• Team development for any type of team – business, athletics, education, healthcare, and more
• Team meetings
• Team building workshops
• Onboarding new team members and employees
• Organizational-wide team culture initiatives
• Training programs
• Team retreats and coaching for greater teambuilding results

If you’re looking to elevate teamwork by strengthening ownership, trust, and accountability at every level, this book gives your people the mindset and practical tools to make it happen.

Written in a clear, relatable style, it’s easy to read and meaningful for teammates in any role or background.

Top-down mandates rarely fix team culture problems or build great teams. They’re fixed when every team member starts asking better questions about how they show up.

After reading You Are the Team, teammates begin asking:

• Am I truly putting the team first, or just looking out for myself?
• Can others count on me to follow through without needing reminders?
• Am I taking full ownership of my attitude, performance, and results?
• Do I speak up with honesty and courage, or stay silent and avoid discomfort?
• What kind of energy do I bring to my team, and is it helping or hurting?
• Do I shut down gossip and negativity, or quietly participate in it?
• Am I setting the example I wish others would follow?

The questions above are only the beginning of the questions teammates will start asking themselves - and the change that follows.

With captivating stories, relatable examples, introspective questions, and a practical Teammate Assessment, this book challenges how teammates think and equips them with the tools to elevate their personal performance—and the performance of the entire team. Great teams start with great teammates.
