Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Wayne Petrovich, aka KrispyKritter, first started backpacking in 1976 and has yet to stop hiking. Unsatisfied with letting the embers of life smolder after retirement from the fire service, Wayne found a second career as a long distance hiker during a six month communion with nature on the Appalachian Trail. Known in the hiking community as KrispyKritter, he has currently logged over 8,000 world class trail miles under his boots. “Krispy” or “Kritter” as his friends call him, has completed thru-hikes on The Appalachian Trail, Bartram Trail, Foothills Trail, Tahoe Rim Trail, John Muir Trail, Ocala Trail, West Highland Way in Scotland and the Pennine Way in England. “KrispyKritter” currently works in an outfitter retail store in Central Florida helping others enjoy the rewards of Mother Nature.
