- Buch 1 von 4: Systematic Theology
A full year of Christian doctrine. 52 lessons, 15 to 20 minutes each.
Most books for Christian kids retell Bible stories. This one teaches the doctrine behind them: the same systematic theology adults study, written so a nine-year-old can follow it and a thirteen-year-old won't feel talked down to.
One clear idea per week. Who God is. Why the Trinity isn't a riddle. What actually happened at the cross. What the Holy Spirit does in a believer. Words like justification and atonement are neither avoided nor dumped on the page. They are introduced and explained, because children remember the words you trust them with.
The 52 weeks, in eight units- Who God Is. Eternal, all-powerful, all-knowing, everywhere present, holy, just, loving.
- The Trinity. One God in three persons, without the bad analogies.
- Creation and the Fall. The image of God, how sin entered, why everyone needs rescue.
- Jesus Christ. Fully God and fully human: his sinless life, death, resurrection, and reign.
- Salvation. The gospel, substitution, forgiveness, justification, adoption into God's family.
- The Holy Spirit. His work in believers, sanctification, everyday guidance.
- The Church. What it is, baptism, the Lord's Supper, serving, sharing the gospel.
- Christian Living. Growing like Jesus, loving others, standing firm.
- A 15-20 minute explanation you can read aloud with no preparation
- A memory verse in the NIrV, at a children's reading level
- "Think About It" questions built to start conversation, not test recall
- One real-world challenge to carry into the week
Two translations, on purpose. Memory verses are given in the New International Reader's Version, simple enough for a child to learn by heart. The teaching quotations are from the ESV, so the text a child memorizes is easy and the text they study is full.
Where it stands doctrinally: historic Protestant and broadly evangelical, in the believer's-baptism tradition. Baptism is taught as following personal faith, and the Lord's Supper as a memorial. Both lessons note that churches differ, so if yours baptizes infants you will want to teach those two weeks alongside your own convictions.
Ages: written for 9-12 as the core. Younger children follow it well when a parent reads aloud. Older readers work through it alone, and the discussion questions carry the conversation up to 14.
Built for- Homeschool families who want a Bible curriculum with a spine, not a scrapbook
- Sunday school teachers who need 52 weeks planned and ready
- Parents and grandparents discipling children at the kitchen table
- Churches looking for a modern catechism children actually engage with
Children can hold profound truths about God when someone bothers to explain them clearly. That is the whole premise. Kids who learn theology early do more than collect facts about God. They read Scripture with their bearings, and they ask better questions.
320 pages. Roughly six pages a week. Open to Lesson 1 and start this Sunday.
A companion workbook is available separately, with interactive activities, memory verses, and family discussion topics for all 52 weeks.
