A sound copy, with general moderate wear, especially to board edges, occasional discoloration, but overall Very Good. Two detailed works of geography, the first with information on geology, "countries, their climate and productions; the prevailing religions, forms of government, and degrees of civilization" (including a bigoted racial breakdown). With geological diagrams and views of geological landmarks (Niagara Falls, Icelandic geysers, Giants' Causeway) and international capitals from Edinburgh to Beijing. The second work by Emma Willard (1787-1870), who founded the first American higher education institute for women.
