Inhaltsangabe:
In June 1938, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster created the most sensational comics character ever! Action Comics No. 1 introduced the world to an alien fallen to Earth who decides to use his incredible powers to help mankind! With his brightly coloured costume and thrilling adventures, Superman quickly became - and remains - the world's best-known and most popular superhero! This handsome new book collects the continuing early adventures of the Man of Steel, reprinting his stories sequentially. Almost impossible to find in their original printings, these stories are the perfect introduction to the world of the Man of Steel, and ideal for new readers!
Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster are the undisputed creators of the Man of Steel, respectively writing and drawing his adventures from Action Comics No. 1 and on for several years. Both eventually moved on to create and write other characters, with Siegel working on The Spider and other British boys' comics, also creating the comic strip Funnyman with Shuster. Sadly, Shuster died in 1992, and Siegel in 1996. They will always be remembered, by comics lovers and Superman fans the world over.
