This book by Lee Arthur Hanson describes a man named Charles Farrington who discovers a mystical, Victorian-style Summoning Room accessible only through his lucid dreams. Guided by a talking parrot named William, Charles learns he can use specific artifacts and a magic spell to manifest historical and legendary figures for exactly two hours. The text provides detailed accounts of his encounters with diverse spirits, ranging from Mary Isadore Holland, the room's original creator, to figures like Merlin, Albert Einstein, and Cleopatra. During these sessions, the visitors reflect on their lives, share personal philosophies, and discuss their enduring historical legacies. Each interview concludes when the two-hourglass timer expires, pulling Charles back into the waking world to record his findings. Through these supernatural dialogues, the collection explores themes of humanity, power, and the complexities of history.
