A serious difficulty 1n the enforcement of so obvious a truth has resulted no doubt from the effect of our own skepticism. We be lieve in genius and eloquence and poetry; we believe in origin ality of thought and intellectual inspirations we believe, in short, in any thing which partakes of the mysterious or the spiritual; but we do not believe in the dull, tame reality of study.
