Grief changes a person, but grace can change them even more. Straight From My Heart is a collection born from the deepest places of love, loss, and faith. After losing her only son Jake in 2017 and her beloved husband Charley in 2025, Diane Wilson turned to the one thing that has always carried her through. Her words. These poems are the prayers she whispered in the dark, the memories she held close, and the hope she fought for when life felt too hard to bear. Some pieces were written long before tragedy touched her home. Others poured out during the hardest seasons of her life. All of them are honest and full of heart. Within these pages you will find a mother's love, a wife's devotion, and a woman's steady trust in God as she learns to breathe again. Diane writes with simplicity and soul, showing that even in sorrow, there is strength. Even in heartbreak, there is healing. Even in the quiet moments when life feels broken, God is still near. This book is for anyone who has loved deeply, grieved deeply, and is doing their best to keep moving forward. It is a reminder that faith carries us, memories anchor us, and love does not end. Straight From My Heart is exactly what its title promises. A gift of words from a woman who refuses to let pain silence her hope.
