Ten girls. One dream role. One secret celebrity cohost. Kara McKormick is ready for her big break--but she has no idea what she's really auditioning for. Perfect for fans of Lynn Painter.

Feisty, funny, and determined to make it as an actress, seventeen-year-old Kara leaves New York for sunny Orlando and the opportunity of a lifetime: a month-long audition for a new teen variety show. She'll live with nine other hopefuls, survive an eccentric housemother, and do whatever it takes to prove she belongs in the spotlight. The one thing no one will tell her? The identity of the famous star she'll be working alongside if she wins.

Teen heartthrob Chad Beacon shot to fame after winning America's Next Star, but he's ready to prove he can do more than sing. Before he signs on to cohost the new show, though, Chad and his family have one request: they want his costar to be someone who shares his faith. And while Kara has plenty of ambition, personality, and heart, Christianity definitely isn't part of her plan.

But as the competition heats up, Kara begins to discover that the people judging her talent may not be the only ones looking beyond the surface. Surrounded by unexpected friendships, genuine kindness, and a faith unlike the rulebook she imagined, she starts asking questions that could change far more than her career.

Funny, sweet, and full of showbiz fun, Starring Me is a feel-good YA romance about chasing big dreams, discovering what really matters, and finding the courage to step into a role you never saw coming.
