Starborn Tales: The Thal’Zari Saga

Forged in fire, bound by blood—the Thal’Zari are not one species, but two.
Once, the humanoid Virethi and the insectoid Zar’kin were locked in endless war. Predator and prey. Hunter and hunted. But from the ashes of annihilation came a desperate experiment: a bond. A merging of host and symbiote into something greater.

From that first bond rose the Thal’Zari—a people of living crests and shared minds, each warrior a union of instinct and will. Yet not all bonds hold. When harmony breaks, the result is a Shadow Crest—a twisted reflection of what the Thal’Zari could be, and their most dangerous enemy.

As young bondmates like Nerai and her symbiote Keth struggle to master their resonance, the Thal’Zari stand at a crossroads. The Starborn Concord offers them a place among the stars—but only if they can survive the Loom of Trials, where survival, understanding, and sacrifice are tested against impossible odds.
At the same time, whispers of the Before—ancient progenitors tied to shards of forgotten memory—threaten to pull the Thal’Zari into a destiny written long before their birth.

Caught between unity and fracture, freedom and control, tradition and survival, the Thal’Zari must decide who they truly are… and whether their bond is strong enough to stand against the shadow waiting in the dark.

Symbiosis. Shadows. Sacrifice.
The Thal’Zari Saga begins.
