One of 500 copies printed letterpress at the Libanus Press, Marlborough, sewn into a yellow card cover with an outer wrapper of fawn paper, title and wood engraving printed in brown to the front. A beautifully-produced Society of Wood Engravers booklet, the eighth of the Society's Christmas books. Surreal and often hilarious digressions by the playwright N F Simpson, originally broadcast as interval readings on Radio 3. Archbishop Lanfranc's rebuilding of Canterbury Cathedral, single-handedly and despite being encumbered by his cope and mitre, is a highlight. Fine.

We are always happy to answer any questions before you commit to a
purchase - email contact preferred. Payment accepted via Visa and Mastercard either through ABE
or Paypal, plus cheques in GBP sterling drawn on a UK bank. Books will ship as soon
as payment clears. You may return any book within 7 days of receipt for a full refund of the
cost if you are in any way dissatisfied. We will not normally refund shipping
