When Lotta realizes that the park that she was supposed to be looking after has fallen into disrepair, she decides to act. 

This is the original story of how Lotta Otter uses her intellect and peculiar superpowers, to help save a rundown park in the town where she lives.  

It's a bumpy ride. She doesn't get it right the first time, but she keeps going. 

Comical and somewhat strange, the story takes the reader on a journey that transforms and twists in unexpected ways. 

An absurd, slightly surreal, rhyming storybook for children. This book teaches children about kindness and perseverance. Children will learn that they should never give up. If one method doesn't work, then try something new. Keep trying, until you succeed.  

One person can do great things if they try. 

This book is written in rhyming verse. Children can understand the sounds and rhythm of English and how to use their own abilities to create something truly special and unique. 

A Slide, some Swings, and Otter Things was written to help Coggeshall's Big Park Project raise money to renovate the playground in the East Street Recreation Ground in the picturesque English town of Coggeshall.
