My favourite atmosphere is none -
Just float around all day.
Meet an underground monster and a friendly duck, a lollypop lady who can hold up a truck - a kid with money they're itching to spend, another with a sore tummy that's still on the mend. This collection of Irish children's poems is funny, charmingly illustrated and bursting with colour.
LoveReading4Kids Indie Books We Love: "This vibrantly illustrated picture book poetry anthology fizzes with fun and energy. Striking a balance of humour, invention and relatability all at once, this picture-book-format anthology of ten poems, characterfully illustrated by Yuliya Somina, brims with energy and talking points, making it the kind of book kids will be very keen to return to. One of the collection’s strengths is the way the poems blend the domestic and the everyday (a lollypop lady with a bag of tricks, over-brimming bins, dad rushing about at home) with the madcap, like an underground monster. On top of that, the writing also mixes up style, mood and pace, all of which makes this a bag of diverse delights, and a joy to read aloud. In short, if you know a child who adores Michael Rosen’s poems, Anthony Kelly’s Short Wee Poems for Kids is sure to go down a treat." https://www.lovereading4kids.co.uk/book/21277/Short-Wee-Poems-for-Kids-by-Anthony-Kelly.html
