Sequoian Satori began as a search for meaning and became a quest down Highway 1 to understand the mysteries of life. Poetry made my imagination translatable - a way to integrate the moments that I'd only felt and sensed. What was often whimsical and absurd musings, arrived as pure joy like a sunrise in the Redwoods. When I write, I often feel a sudden jolt of insight or Satori and this is something that I wish for everyone to experience. May you walk softly, speak beauty, breathe deeply, and feel that misty poetry of the Sequoian Satori. Devin Masterson is a writer and poet based in Santa Cruz, CA. . . where the forest meets the tides. He is inspired by the Beats, counterculture, and the mystical landscape of California. He thanks his teachers Matthew Souzis and Bruce Owens for helping him to find his voice as a creative. If you see Devin in the wild, say hi: "Greetings fellow Earthling!"
