A new title in the Collins You Can Paint series of painting books for absolute beginners. Written by professional artist-teachers these books teach the real basics and assume no knowledge or experience of painting. Full of easy-to-follow exercises and demonstrations, the Collins You Can Paint series will give even the most hesitant of beginners the enthusiasm and confidence to start painting the seashore in watercolour. All the instruction is broken down into really easy step-by-step exercises to help you to practise and build up your knowledge and expertise of painting gradually. June Crawshaw takes the reader by the hand and shows, with very simple exercises, exactly how to paint all the separate features of the seashore one by one. For example, you learn how to paint shells, seaweed, pebbles, rocks, boats and people on the beach. So, by the end of the book, you'll be able to produce a complete painting of the seashore in watercolour to be proud of.

June Crawshaw is married to Alwyn Crawshaw, the well-known TV artist, and for many years she has helped him teach on his popular painting courses, as well as appearing in three of the television series. June is an experienced watercolour painter and is a member of the British Watercolour Society and the Society of Women Artists. She is the author of Watercolour Made Easy.
