Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Patrick Schmidt is an American by birth and education. Through his work as an English teacher for German executives, and then as editor-in-chief of two German corporate magazines, he became an intimate observe of modern German culture. Later, he lived and worked extensively in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Montreal, Canada, specializing in cross-cultural management. He's the author of the book "Understanding American and German Business Cultures" (German edition: "Die amerikanische und die deutsche Wirtschaftskultur im Vergleich"). He's now an intercultural consultant and trainer, living in Vienna, Austria.
