Based on the author's teaching experiences with young children, ""Scribble, Scrabble"" offers a cogent and timely discussion of ways to unite developmentally appropriate and culturally responsive literacy practices. The text unites theory, research and actual teaching practices to broaden and deepen current interest on creating and implementing meaningful and responsive literacy practices and activities during children's early school years.
