Volume 5 Part III only. Profusely illustrated with photographic plates, drawings and sketches, xxxv + 481pp, bibliographies, index. 24 x 17.5cm. Endpapers and dustjacket spine have sellotape stains, pastedowns and dustjacket spine, edges very lightly browned and foxed. The Taiwanese reprints of Needham's classic work are printed on lower quality paper than the Cambridge University Press editions and the illustrations can on occasion be a little lighter or blurred.
