My Name is Francis Sheppard. I have run bookstores in Dudley, a former industrial town in the West Midlands of England, for fourteen years now. There have been three locations. The previous, a spreading second floor above an old warehouse, I occupied for ten years. Since November 2024 I have been tenant in a much more high-street kind of shop unit, with a view over Dudley's single Victorian square. The change, as you can imagine, was an upheaval. We didn't do so well with our Abebooks inventory, and the result is I am redoing it all. I apologise to all those whose orders I missed. I would have loved to have given you better service. With luck this will be a new start.
