S.H.E. Share Heal Empower, Volume One unveils the stories of women, across all ages and cultures, who courageously reached within to overcome extraordinary obstacles.

Author Shannon Hogan Cohen has compiled and captured a chorus of voices-twenty-four storytellers, from a teenage YouTube vlogger who struggled with an eating disorder to a ninety-year-old educator who survived the Holocaust, each exclusively paired with artwork created just for her story.

Believing in the power and healing nature of storytelling, Shannon Hogan Cohen's books honor women from all walks of life and circumstance, providing insight and inspiration to all who read their words. Each chapter is preceded by an introduction by the author, giving readers a unique subtext that lends an inviting and personal tone.

All proceeds from the sale of S.H.E. Share Heal Empower, Volume Two, support the S.H.E. Foundation to empower and educate women across all ages and cultures-transcending race, religion, ethnicity, and politics.

There has always been a special place in my heart for storytelling, which has provided a safe place to listen, learn, cry and laugh over the years. As a freelance writer, I have been published in various media outlets - from community and grassroots advocacy, to travel literature and personal narrative. I write because there is so much to say and my two teenage boys' tire of listening to me. I write for insight, the more written the more I learn about myself. My passion for life and learning drives my appetite for adventure. Interests include travelling and learning about different cultures. While working with Hospice for ten years, I learned how to be a listener. I believe stories change the world. You will find me leisurely walking the beaches in Southern California where I live with my family.
