Poetry has always been my sanctuary, a place where I could find solace and express the depths of my soul. This collection, Lebensspur: Threads to My Existence, embodies the essence of my being during times when everything seemed to stand still. It is a testament to my existence during years when life appeared to move forward for everyone but me. These poems are proof of my individuality, the mark of my experiences, and the value of the moments when I felt stuck.

The title Lebensspur is a German word that translates to “life track” or “life's imprint.” It symbolizes the indelible marks we leave behind as we journey through life. This concept deeply resonates with the essence of this collection, as each poem serves as a thread in the tapestry of my existence, capturing the profound moments that have shaped who I am.

Each poem in these pages reflects the myriad emotions I have experienced—moments of crisis, reflections on death, bouts of sadness, and the ever-present force of love. The diverse poetic forms, ranging from Irish to Italian to Arabic, represent the varied landscapes of my inner world, each offering a unique perspective on my experiences.
Writing these poems allowed me to weave together the threads of my existence, finding meaning in moments that felt stagnant and giving voice to emotions that were often overwhelming. As you turn these pages, you will find
pieces of my heart, fragments of my journey, and whispers of my soul. As you read them, I hope you will find echoes of your journey within mine. These verses will offer you a glimpse into the beauty and complexity of life, solace, understanding, and perhaps even inspiration.

I invite you to delve into this collection with an open heart and mind and join me in celebrating the beauty and complexity of life, as captured in these verses.
