One small voice. One brave choice. One God who makes it matter.
When tragedy struck Rizpah’s family, she chose not to walk away. For months she stood vigil on a lonely hillside, guarding the bodies of her sons, refusing to let sorrow have the last word. Her unshakable love moved the heart of a king and reminded an entire nation that God sees the broken, the forgotten, and the faithful.
Mia’s story echoes Rizpah’s in our world today. She would not leave her brother’s hospital bedside, keeping watch through sleepless nights and heavy days. Her quiet faithfulness became a testimony to everyone around her that love does not quit, even when it hurts.
In this modern-day Bible story children’s book from the Children of the Word Series, kids will:

• Step into Rizpah’s world and experience her journey of love and endurance.
• Connect through a modern-day parable featuring Mia, a girl who refuses to leave her brother’s side.
• Discover an action plan designed to help kids apply biblical truths of faithfulness and love.

Perfect for kids ages 6–12, this book brings Scripture to life through relatable storytelling and a gentle reminder:
“Love that costs something is love that lasts.
Love that lasts is love that changes everything.”
Whether for bedtime reading, Sunday school, homeschool lessons, or family devotionals, Rizpah — The Mother Who Wouldn’t Move will inspire children to see that love stands watch, even in sorrow.
