Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Gregory F. Augustine Pierce has been the publisher of ACTA (A Commitment to All) Publications for over thirty-five years and is a past president of the National Center for the Laity. He is the author of ten books, including The World As It Should Be, The Spirituality of Work, and Activism That Makes Sense. Pierce has been involved in community organizing for fifty years as an organizer, supervisor, mentor, trainer, and/or volunteer leader with the Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF) in Illinois, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and New York. He conducts an intensive workshop on "Writing for Organizers and Community Leaders," which led to many of the essays in this book that appear here for the first time.
