From time to time, Nature corrects an injustice . . . Eons past, the races in The Lands banded together to slaughter all dragons owing to the acts of a few-the Dark Dragons-who sought to destroy all creation. Dwarves, Elves, and Men awoke the Druids from their twilight sleep, beseeching these wizards to eradicate all dragons, both good and evil alike. Only when the last dragon fell did many in The Lands realize their mistake. Now, rumors surface of giant, flying lizards in the Northern Regions. Whatever these creatures are-if they exist at all-there are those who would destroy any remaining dragons, those who'd protect these legendary beasts, and those desiring control over the magic these last dragons possessed for their own nefarious ends. The progeny of three races, Daríon-the magic-wielding Kinjúe Garr-is sought by each faction to aid their cause. But Darion will not act until he knows the truth. Thus begins Darion's quest for these mythical creatures as he encounters strange, wonderful allies along the way. But will there be time to save any remaining dragons? Will those seeking fame and glory repeat the sins of the past? Or worse, will those who would possess the power of the dragons achieve their darkest desires?
