The following objectives have been set for the research investigation. 1. To trace the history and growth of general insurance in India. 2. To study the HRD practices particularly training and development practices in Hospet Steel Limited, Ginigera. 3. To perceive the views of employees about the existing practices in relation to training and development programs. 4. To appraise and choose the best training methods and techniques for employees. 5. To suggest measures in the light of the empirical study for the effective and efficient functioning of Hospet Steel Limited, Ginigera.
