Renewable Energy Source: A Textbook for Engineering Students is a comprehensive academic textbook designed for students studying renewable and non-conventional energy as part of their engineering curriculum.

The book provides a structured understanding of major renewable energy technologies, beginning with the fundamentals of energy resources and India's energy scenario and progressing to modern renewable energy systems.

The book covers Solar Energy, Wind Energy, Biomass Energy, Geothermal Energy, Tidal Power, Wave Energy and Ocean Energy, along with Photovoltaic (PV) systems, Solar Cells, Wind Energy Conversion Systems (WECS), Biogas Plants and Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC). It also introduces the Internet of Energy (IoE) and Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT).

The Solar Energy section includes solar radiation and its measurement, solar thermal power plants, solar ponds, PV systems, different types of solar cells, PV cell concepts, I–V and P–V characteristics, solar arrays, efficiency and MPPT.

The Wind Energy section covers wind properties, wind energy availability in India, factors affecting wind power, wind turbines and WECS, including horizontal-axis and vertical-axis wind turbines.

The book is suitable for engineering students, diploma students, educators and readers interested in renewable energy technologies. Its structured explanations, diagrams and academic approach make it useful for both conceptual learning and examination preparation.
