Inhaltsangabe: The Claybornes are back -- and love is in bloom! First introduced in Julie Garwood's magnificent New York Times bestseller "For the Roses," which inspired the Hallmark Hall of Fame television film "Rose Hill," the Clayborne brothers of Blue Belle, Montana, have been embraced by millions worldwide. Now Julie Garwood spins the individual stories of these three spirited brothers -- once a mismatched gang of street urchins -- in a trio of special novels that continues with "One Red Rose." Adam Clayborne has always put great stock in the power of books. As an escaped slave -- and a wanted man -- reading has been his only ticket to the wonders of distant lands. Adam is content with his life as a confirmed bachelor, which is why his Mama Rose has summoned the irresistible Genevieve Delacroix to Montana. Also a former slave, Genevieve shares his dream of seeing the world, but she arrives to find Adam unfailingly polite...and just as distant. Undaunted, Genevieve determines to teach Adam what he'll never learn from a book -- that true freedom only comes when you open your heart.

Rezension: Adam Clayborne is not the marrying kind. So when he comes home to find a woman in his bed claiming to be his bride, Adam's first instinct is to run. When the woman in question turns out to be in some kind of trouble, Adam knows he has to help her. But helping her and marrying her are two different things! Of course, she insists she doesn't want his help and proceeds to tell him all kinds of lies. It infuriates him, but Adam's thoughts keep straying from the task at hand to the woman he'd like to hold in his arms Genevieve Perry has been dreaming about Adam Clayborne for two years. Her dreams didn't do the man justice. As much as Genevieve likes the idea of being married to such a handsome and honorable man as Adam, she knows she can't. The best thing for her to do is leave Rosehill Ranch and forget Adam. But Genevieve hasn't counted on the determination that runs in the Clayborne family! In the third book of the Rose trilogy, Julie Garwood gives us Adam's story. From beginning to end, it is an entertaining adventure. Adam and Genevieve are a wonderful pair and the rest of the Claybornes make a welcome appearance as well. (One Pink Rose and One White Rose are the first and second in the trilogy.)A fast paced, fun read! Julie Garwood's writing shines! A very special trilogy from the beloved Julie Garwood! Readers will be charmed by her characters! Romance is synonymous with Julie Garwood! Don't miss her Rose trilogy-a definite keeper!Kristina Wright -- Copyright © 1994-97 Literary Times, Inc.
