Bound by Blood: Chosen by Magic.

Welcome to Ravenbrook! A charming little town tucked away in picturesque and occasionally ominous woodlands surrounded by rivers and streams. Pay attention to the roads, they can be fairly unpredictable, but pay no attention to the signs. Those tend to not be very helpful. In fact, in Ravenbrook most things are not quite what they seem.

Seth Bennett was just your average 17-year-old living in Boston. The son of Alice and grandson of Jane, two perfectly ordinary librarians. Beyond being gay and the mystery surrounding the identity of his father his life was ordinary… painfully so. That is… until Grandma Jane suddenly passes away and the Bennett house becomes their inheritance. The result? They need to move back to the town Alice thought they had escaped and to which she had sworn she would never return. A town in the “middle of nowhere”—somewhere in Louisiana—where “nothing ever happens” and where “nobody wants to live”.

At first, everything seemed perfect. Seth fell for Clay Whitehorse, a kind but troubled local from the Houma tribe, who dropped out of school and now works at the gas station. A match written in the stars! He also found a new best friend in Lacy Oliviera, a witty-and-pretty girl who seems to know everything about everyone. He even meets his father’s family: the enigmatic Prescotts. But Seth soon discovers that the mystery of his father’s identity is the tip of the iceberg for the secrets concealed and hidden in Ravenbrook. Secrets about witches, Rougarou, and chov’hani.
