Inhaltsangabe: A British Detective Mystery Classic by the friend, and later brother-in-law, of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, creator of Sherlock Holmes! The perfect foil for Holmes, Raffles is a gentleman thief unmatched by any other fictional criminal for courage and the ability to stay cool even in the most harrowing situations. In late Victorian England, Arthur Raffles lives a double life as a popular sportsman in public, and a cunning burglar with a weakness for valuable jewelry in private. With the help of his side-kick Bunny Manders, Raffles always manages to thwart Scotland Yard's Inspector Mackenzie. For wit, daring, and thrilling suspense pick up this book, which introduces the world to Raffles, amateur cat burglar and master jewel thief, described as "The Greatest Thief in the Literature of Roguery!" by the encyclopedia of Mystery and Detection. Add this classic masterpiece to your collection today!
