The Dapper Adonis is the story of Al Besselink: pro golfer, gambler, and friend of the most revered celebrities whoever sang and tap danced their way down the Las Vegas strip. Al lived life so fast that he actually fooled the Grim Reaper into thinking that he had already slipped through those heavenly portals when, at this very moment, he is pitching golf balls on to a practice green located under his favorite tree at the Miami Shores CC. One more cogent element to Al's life is that he felt his popularity with so many movers and shakers of Hollywood, Washington D C, and organized crime was not his charming personality and infectious smile, but his ability to hit a golf ball almost as well as anyone in the history of professional golf. At one time or another, Al bested the best golfers whoever teed up a ball, and that includes players who have passed through the Pearly Gates and a few who are knocking at the door.
