Before the covenant, there was the forming.
Prepared Through the Fire, Woke Up to the Crown is the prequel to Pastor Dr Benjamin Olusola Ajibade's earlier book on his covenant walk with God, telling for the first time the childhood and early adulthood that quietly prepared the ground for everything that followed.
This is the story of a boy who buried his own sibling at eleven years old because his parents were too devastated to move. Of a five-year-old who refused a name against his father's wishes, not knowing that name would outlive every warning ever spoken over it. Of a death encounter at eight that opened a lifetime of spiritual sensitivity, a door to Jamaica that never opened no matter how much faith was poured into it, and a mother's confession that arrived thirty years late and healed her the same night it was spoken.
Every chapter carries a Bible verse and a hard-won lesson, moving from a childhood shaped by hardship most readers will find difficult to imagine, toward the same conclusion the closing chapter makes plain: spiritual warfare is not your end. It is your forming.
If you are walking through something now that feels only like defeat, this book offers the assurance the author did not have while living through his own, that what looks like an ending may simply be preparation for what comes next.
