This title contains photocopiable activities to help 11 year-olds practise mental maths. It encourages children to use all types of numbers with confidence and offers challenging opportunities for children to use and apply their mental calculation strategies. The book begins with an introductory test to identify the children's knowledge of number facts such as times tables and provides a "prompt list" of useful maths vocabulary appropriate for the age range. The photocopiable activities which follow should help the children to develop a confident and flexible approach to counting and calculating mentally, offering them opportunities to develop strategies and mathematical vocabulary by writing or talking about their maths.
