Practical Black Magic

Practical Black Magic: A Beginner's Guide to Ethical Rituals & Summoning Secrets by Alicia (Dongjia) offers a unique and thoughtful exploration into the ancient, often misunderstood practice of black magic. Unlike many other books that merely sensationalize the dark arts, this guide serves as a responsible, ethical, and practical approach to using magic for personal empowerment and protection.

Alicia (Dongjia) is a bloodline witch with deep shamanic roots from her father’s lineage and a rich background in Southeast Asian witchcraft passed down from her mother. Raised in a family steeped in mysticism, Alicia has spent her life exploring ancient beliefs and magical practices. With a Bachelor's degree in Education and a Master's degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies, she has developed a profound understanding of religion, mysticism, and witchcraft. Her approach is grounded in both personal experience and academic research, making her a truly unique voice in the world of esoteric studies.

In Practical Black Magic, Alicia goes beyond the sensationalism often associated with black magic, focusing instead on its roots in folk traditions, shamanic practices, and the ethical responsibilities that come with wielding such power. This book is not a collection of harmful curses or malevolent spells; rather, it is a guide to using the principles of black magic for self-defense, healing, and achieving personal goals. Alicia’s perspective offers a fresh take on black magic as a tool for empowerment, rather than destruction.

The book begins by introducing the fundamental principles of black magic, demystifying its role throughout history and separating fact from fiction. Alicia guides readers through understanding how intent, willpower, and energy are the true sources of magical power. She emphasizes that while black magic can involve working with darker forces, it doesn’t have to be malevolent. Instead, it can be used ethically for protection, spiritual growth, and uncovering hidden truths.

One of the most distinguishing features of Practical Black Magic is its focus on ethical practices. Alicia makes it clear that every action in magic comes with consequences, and practicing black magic requires a strong sense of responsibility. Readers will learn how to create protective barriers, ward off negative energies, and even reverse harmful curses—all without crossing moral boundaries or causing unnecessary harm to others.

The book is rich with practical rituals, ranging from simple spells for beginners to more advanced techniques for summoning spirits, creating talismans, and invoking protective deities. Alicia’s detailed, step-by-step instructions ensure that even novices can successfully perform these rituals, while her extensive knowledge provides valuable insights for more experienced practitioners. Each ritual is accompanied by explanations of its purpose, its ethical implications, and the necessary precautions to take.

As an avid traveler and lifelong student of mystical traditions, Alicia incorporates elements from her diverse background into her teachings. Her exploration of Southeast Asian witchcraft, shamanic practices, and ancient Western magic traditions gives the book a global perspective that is rarely found in other works on black magic. She weaves these influences into her rituals, making them accessible to readers from all cultural backgrounds. Her emphasis on authenticity, rooted in real-world practices, sets this book apart from others that rely on purely fantastical or fictionalized depictions of magic.
