Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: I grew up in the Rockaway Beach section of New York City, the youngest of three. My mother believed in music and the arts and insisted we all play aninstrument, attend Childrens' Concerts and visit every museum. My brother played the flute, my sister the piano. I also studied the piano, but discovered in my college years, that music was not my 'thing'. I attended ;the High School of Music & Art, The Eastman School of Music and the Universi;ty of Rochester with a Degree in Music.I started moving in a new direction when I attended the Bank Street College of Education, a small graduate teachers' program, where I discovered more of a home in the graphic and visual arts. I moved to California in 1957 and entered the Painting Department at UC Berkeley, starting the 'hobby' that would hold me for the next forty years. Six years ago I discovered the magic of writing poems. I have since published two collections, "Say What?" and "POEMS" I am excited to be publishing this new collection, "POEMS, Again"
