A classic story rescued for a modern audience. Read it to your child or your elementary child happily reads it to him/her self. The characters are famous. The tale is timeless. This Junior Classic edition of Peter Pan has been carefully condensed and adapted from the original version We kept the well-known phrases for you. We kept J. M. Barrie’s style. And we kept the important imagery and heart of the tale. This adaptation is true to the character of the book as well as the spirit of this fine work. It also looks at our modern sensibilities. ( A primary example of a sensibility conflict in this work would be the Native American stereotypical characterizations of the original - which the modern reader might well find to be inappropriate and demeaning). However, this is a great work in so many ways. It is important not to lose it to one dated and alterable aspect. Curl up and enjoy.‘ This is indeed a delightfulful children's classic.
