Based on Mindy Johnson's critically acclaimed Disney Editions title, Ink & Paint: The Women of Walt Disney's Animation, this nonfiction picture book is a fun and inspiring look at many of the amazing women who have worked at Disney Animation over the years.
Women have made major contributions to the worlds of film and animation, and over the years, some of the best have lent their talents to Disney animation. These amazing artists achieved a lot of "firsts": from the first woman to head a department in animation (helping to win high-profile awards) to the chemist who created the world's first animation paint laboratory to the first woman to design famous Hollywood monsters.
And their accomplishments knew no bounds! In this book, you'll learn about some of the amazing feats these trailblazing women accomplished outside if animation as well--like becoming record-setting pilots or founding an international club for tall people that's still around today.
A great introduction to the animation process and Disney's filmmaking legacy!
