CHAPTER 1
We always wondered how the origin and existence of universe can be explained. Does it exist just because it is existing or this continued existence is a planned attempt with an organized system of galaxy along with its ecological balances provided for comfortable living of animal kingdom by some extraneous power and control? Is the universe existing for the survival of its inmates within and for a purpose or we are surviving on occurrence of some consequence of chance factors? Our inability to comprehend an answer for the same interprets the limitation of human intellect but the only plausible understanding seems to be the belief in control of some supernatural power.
Since times immemorial quoted sayings and documented quotations have presented deficient philosophy and unconvincing ideology, understandable to the existing psychology of human brain about this enquiry. The science of evolution was equally unsatisfactory to have contended the human mind of any given clarification. The history of mankind with its advent of scientific basis is giving only hypothetical explanations for theory of evolution, which remains unclear to the understanding of the human mind even till this date.
The concept of molecular biology of the living and the nuclear physics of the non-living is still underway with its research yet fails to educate us of any understanding of the etiology and the existence of the universe. Human beings though being a part of this universe are not led by default to understand the provisions of the provider and designation of the sustainer. The creation and sustenance of universe with its inhabitants, both living and non-living is itself beyond human capacity of understanding and introspection. Then comes the purpose of its creation and sustenance which also cannot be fully analyzed, unless there is acceptance of this mystery as God given, otherwise it will remain unresolved to the mankind forever.
The coexistence of animal kingdom with diverse species and human beings with innumerable castes and creeds divided by various religions and sects, the continuity of the human race by balance of births and deaths, the loss and survival through natural calamities, mysterious happenings and non-understandable mishaps all reflect a patronage of one great controller of this universe. Only sensible thinkers are elucidated to judge and admit that there must be some active force, some effective power and some supreme authority which is controlling this system of universe so well.
Time and again we have failed to grasp the truth that there is not much we or scientific inventions could have done for creation or survival of life in universe except the fact that, the happenings which are un-anticipated, the events which come un-expected and the outcomes which are unpredictable, only in the end make us believe that we do not know everything about our life and its environment. We do not understand the truth of our existence and human intelligence cannot encompass the knowledge other than what is revealed to them by science.
So the question remains as to who is responsible for this harmonious balance set in order since the origin of the universe, that is continued through evolutions and still exists as a perfect compromise between living and the non-living? The complexities in anatomical and histological structures of human beings and the details within them are still not yet completely understood. Research only leads to certain theories and hypotheses of some incompletely understood concepts that get revised and re- revised by scientists without a fruitful result. No other idol, icon or soul could retain such a marvelous functioning of our universe, other than some mighty supernatural power.
Hence the existence of universe cannot be accidental and its survival cannot be a mere chance factor. It also remains a fact that nothing comes into being without a creator. Thus, even the existence of universe has to have a meaning and that meaning has to be understood to make our existence meaningful. If we do not try to understand the meaning of it then we will not be any different than the animals that are living for the sake of living. We have to understand, after seeing the signs of the maker and keeper of this universe, to justify our responsibility and our role as humans.
If we agree that there is an eternal power behind, then we need to know whether it is single or multiple. If it would have been multiple then the laws regulating the continuity of existence would have been different in different geographical zones. But the system of governance of the heavenly bodies, plant and animal kingdoms and properties of the non-living is one and the same. Then we are obliged to accept the creator as one, of course without partners. Henceforth, the need for faith in Monotheism.
On the other hand it is we who are governed by selfishly motivated interests and self made rules of comfort seeking that only when confronted with hardships and difficulties we resort to some unseen power for rescue and relief. There have been countless examples of non-believers or disbelievers who cry out to some supernatural power in times of depression or despair but, no sooner they are relieved of their suffering and agony they resume the irrational ideology of "there is no God" and return to selfish gratifications of personal needs so very conveniently placed before them, that they almost forget their innate dependence on mercy and kindness from the one almighty.
Curiously the teachings of other major religions, more importantly Christianity and Judaism also preach obedience to God's legislation and the same has been taught by many prophets of the past times. Immaterial of the presentations by different messengers and commandments from different religions of different times, the core interpretation of the context has been the same and that is, to submit ourselves totally to God's will to be on the right path, following the true creator and regulator of the universe, which is worshipping the almighty force. This mindset has to be framed first otherwise our subsequent actions, programmed to congeniality of living for a purpose cannot be rationalized.
As on today many religions exist and contradict each other because of their biased reasons. Wars were fought in the past and there are fights in the present for the same, oppression is continued by the dominants on the weaker sections when the fact remains that all religions have a single common origin and the entire mankind is just one universal brotherhood, the human nature remains the same from the beginning to the end. Hence all religions taught by all the prophets of all times, basically originated by the God.
But unfortunately the presented religions are confusing the man instead of guiding him and not satisfying the psychological, physical, spiritual needs of his. They should teach humans to discriminate good from the evil and right from the wrong. A religion should balance the life with hope, patience, honesty, courage, endurance, peace and security. Any religion which does not teach these basics is not a religion itself. A religion must express a purpose of its own and should justify the signs of God to induce faith.
