I didn’t understand the use of the trait 'people' for the dog of the cave companions. But when I have some search in Qur'an, I found out that Sa'adi intelligently and wittily and in a brief and pleasant interpretation has understood this point from the Qur'an that God says when he counts the number of companions of the cave and of course, he avoids exact numbers so that instead of dealing with the essence of the matter, they do not get involved in quantitative and formal issues of the incident, some people consider the companions of the cave to be three people, and with their dog becomes four people and some people consider to be five people, and with their dog becomes six people, That is, in the Qur'anic counting, the dog is also counted with the companions of the cave, and it is upgraded to the level of a person and is included in the number of 'people'! (Surah Kahf, Verse 22)
With this brief and articulated introduction, I will reach 'Paza'; An amazing work by a well-known poet of our time, who spent his life by being struggle and scholarly, mystic and romantic dynamic in the field of introducing the Qur'anic humanistic culture and the truth of Ahl al-Bayt (the prophet's household), and artistically and poetically expressing the religious education.
'Paza' is the affability of the poet to a dog that suddenly appears in his mystical and poetic world and more suddenly is hidden and lost. Professor Saedi describes this presence and absence in 'Paza's' by the same writing and expression that he has told and wrote about truth and beauty for half a century. The description which forced me to read it several times and in each reading I found it fresher and became admirer of his attitude and thought and his sweet and wonderful descriptions.
When I read 'Paza', many stories came to my mind that show the affability of the high peaks of religion to animals, including 'dogs'. Feeding the dogs by Imam Hassan, watering dogs, sharing food between him and dogs in Husseini's temper and character, all these show that 'Paza' has a long history and friendship.
'Paza', for the intelligent poet and infatuated of life and the world like Saedi, is the vision of the kingdom of this being when others dispraised stinky carcass, Jesus Christ – The Lord's great prophet – praised its loyalty and white teeth and contentment and guardianship.
Paza is an excuse to watch the transformation of existence; the changing the direction of looking to discover the secrets of this world; the look of a mystic who looks at the loyalty and companionship of a noble and 'popular' dog like the companions of the cave.
Indeed, if we were with the companions of the cave, how would we be with this dog along the way? I wish they wrote how the companions of the cave were with this dog when there was nothing but 'silence' on the way and at the threshold of the cave, as the Qur'an has stated, he kindly and like a soldier (And their dog had opened his arms at the entrance of the cave. Soreh Kahf, verse 18) guarded the privacy of the pilgrims to God.
Paza is not the association of a praiseworthy dog from the kind of flattering lying poets who called themselves the king's dogs and hey by belittling themselves said: What did you do then, the dog you hadn't taken? And in this way, they sold their honor, glory and dignity for dirham and dinar.
Paza', is a new event in our religious literature! I said religious literature because he was born in this atmosphere and belief and outlook. Paza is the kingdom look of the poet and writer and this look can be extended to all phenomena, to everyone and everything that we run away from or avoid at first glance. Read Paza carefully and judge.
